This challenging project involved the design and manufacturing of a functioning chair as well as the design of the presentation/poster. This was specifically focused on the aspect of design process, iteration, and design thinking.
The final product addressed the issue of finding a chair that would give a cohesive appearance to the classrooms of the UT Art Building and the UT Fine Arts building. The wood gives the design a more traditional look while the white, glossy, molded plastic gave it more of a modern look. The chair also possess the quality of mobility in order to encourage student interaction.
